The 2025 New Residents and Multicultural Hometown Festival, themed “Multiculturalism, Taoyuan as a Global City,” features a wide range of activities, including cultural performances, international cuisine, specialty markets, DIY handicrafts, traditional clothing experiences, and cultural interactions. The festival invites citizens to immerse themselves in the cultural traditions of different countries and experience the rich and diverse cultural heritage of new residents.

The event brings together the diverse cultures of new residents, Indigenous peoples, and Hakka communities, with new resident organizations from various countries joining the celebration. It showcases the music, dance, traditional clothing, cuisine, and cultural traditions of Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and other countries. A multicultural market and a variety of hands-on cultural activities will also be featured, allowing participants to discover different cultures through seeing, listening, tasting, playing, and experiencing, while promoting cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and connection among different communities.
