Taoyuan City Childbirth Subsidy
1. Eligibility: The newborn must be registered in Taoyuan City. The legal representative must meet one of the following and remain registered in Taoyuan at the time of application:
- (1) Registered in Taoyuan for at least one consecutive year before the baby's birth.
- (2) For babies born after Jan 1, 2024: If the applicant has been registered in Taoyuan for 10–12 months, their previous consecutive registration in Taipei, New Taipei, or Keelung can be combined to meet the 1-year requirement.
- (3) For babies born after Jan 1, 2025: The applicant was registered in Taoyuan before birth and completes a total of one year of consecutive residency after the birth.
- Special Cases: If parents are deceased, missing, or under court-ordered guardianship, a co-residing guardian or relative within the third degree of kinship may apply.
2. Required Documents:
- Applying in person: Application form, ID card, seal (stamp), and a copy of the bank passbook cover.
- Applying via proxy: Application form (signed by both parents), proxy’s ID and seal, applicant’s ID, power of attorney, and a copy of the bank passbook cover.
3. Subsidy Amount (For births on/after Dec 25, 2022):
- 1st child: NT$30,000
- 2nd child: NT$40,000
- 3rd child (and beyond): NT$50,000 per child
- Multiple births (Twins/Triplets): An additional NT$10,000 bonus per newborn.
4. How to Apply: Apply within 6 months of birth (or within 2 months after reaching the 1-year residency mark for Eligibility #3) at any Household Registration Office in Taoyuan or via the Taoyuan E-Services online portal. Late applications will not be accepted. (Links)
