I. Introduction to the Taoyuan City Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Center

The Taoyuan City Government Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Center integrates various service resources, including social welfare, education and public awareness, medical care, and employment services. We provide assistance to individuals experiencing drug-related problems and offer support and companionship through professional case managers to help them face and address drug-related issues together.

III. Drug Addiction Prevention and Health Education Information

The use of drugs and other addictive substances can disrupt the brain’s reward system and cause a chronic disease involving impaired brain function. In addition to causing harm to various bodily systems and resulting in physical and psychological dependence, addiction is also prone to relapse during the recovery process.

It is important to identify signs of drug use or addiction in yourself or people around you as early as possible and seek professional assistance and treatment promptly. Doing so can improve physical and mental health and reduce the harm caused by drug use.
