Author:邱杰森、莫珊嵐 Chiehsen Chiu & Margot Guillemot The installation "Blessed Path" explores the interplay between light, shadow, material, and texture. The layered shapes, enhanced by the glow of neon lights, reflect a contemplation of the dual themes of "Blessings" (symbolizing blessings and luck) and "Path" (representing journeys or connections). Crafted from colorful acrylic, the artwork takes the form of a series of paper airplanes. Each plane is engraved with maps and immigration stamps from various Asian countries, accompanied by short blessing phrases in multiple languages.  These designs were created in collaboration between the artist and their international students, hailing from countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Mongolia. The artwork symbolizes wishes for happiness, smooth journeys, and the unity and connection between cultures. From a distance, the artwork resembles paper airplanes poised to take flight, symbolizing the journey of new immigrants who have left their homelands to start anew in Taiwan, ready to soar once more over their new home. The exhibition location, situated near Taoyuan International Airport, further emphasizes the geographical and cultural connections represented by the artwork.  The airplanes not only serve as messengers of happiness and blessings but also symbolize the freedom and aspiration of soaring through the skies.
