Introduction to the New Immigrant Life Adaptation Class
To help new immigrants integrate into Taiwanese society, the Department of Women's and Children's Development of the Taoyuan City Government continues to promote the "New Immigrant Life Adaptation Class." This class provides diverse courses and activities to help participants understand local resources, improve their life adaptation skills, and promote family and community interaction.
The curriculum includes mandatory topics such as language learning, life adaptation, welfare and medical resources, personal safety, employment, and residency regulations. Advanced courses like child-rearing, digital applications, and multicultural exchanges are also planned based on needs. In addition to classroom learning, "Family Day" activities are organized to encourage relatives to participate together, strengthening the link between families and the community. Furthermore, the hours attended in this program can be counted toward the required hours for naturalization.
