Does the government provide subsidies for Long-Term Care (LTC) services?
- Yes. Applicants are eligible for long-term care services if they are assessed as Long-Term Care Need Level 2 or above. Long-term care service quotas are divided into:
- Individual long-term care service quota
- Respite care service quota
These quotas cannot be transferred or shared with each other.
- After assessment, care managers will provide appropriate services according to each individual’s needs. Service categories are divided into four major groups. Government subsidy rates vary depending on household status (general households, middle-to-low-income households, and low-income households):
(1) Care and Professional Services (Code B):
Government subsidy ranges from 84% up to full coverage.
(2) Transportation Services (Code D):
Government subsidy ranges from 73% up to full coverage.
(3) Assistive Device Services and Home Accessibility Improvement Services (Codes E and F):
Government subsidy ranges from 70% up to full coverage.
(4) Respite Care Services (Code G):
Government subsidy ranges from 84% up to full coverage.
