What are the requirements to apply for Long-Term Care (LTC) services?

Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility criteria: (1) Dementia patients aged 50 or above. (2) Disabled Indigenous people aged 55 or above. (3) Individuals with disabilities (physical or mental) who are functional impaired. (4) Elderly people aged 65 or above with functional impairment. Note: In alignment with the Long-Term Care 10-Year Plan 3.0 and practical operational needs, Article 2 of the "Regulations on the Application and Payment of Long-Term Care Services" was amended and implemented on January 1, 2026. Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility criteria: (1) Dementia patients aged 50 or above. (2) Disabled Indigenous people aged 55 or above. (3) Individuals with disabilities (physical or mental) who are functional impaired. (4) Individuals with dementia. (5) Individuals who, during the assessment period, meet the criteria for the Post-Acute Care (PAC) program announced by the National Health Insurance Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare.
