However, for those who underwent training at a driving school, the violation rate decreased to 4.2%, demonstrating that motorcycle driving training is effective in enhancing traffic safety concepts and skills for drivers. By encouraging motorcycle drivers to participate in driving training, the program aims to cultivate adherence to traffic rules, correct driving habits, and the concepts of defensive and responsible driving, with the hope of reducing casualties among motorcyclists. Anyone who has reached the legal testing age of 18 and is eligible to apply for a driver's license test may apply for the subsidy. Foreign nationals holding proof of permission to stay or reside for 6 months or more are eligible for the motorcycle training subsidy only after completing training at a driving school and successfully obtaining a driver's license.
