According to Article 3, Paragraph 2 of the “Taoyuan City Special Circumstance Family Assistance Review Operation Regulations”: New immigrants who register marriage with citizens registered in Taoyuan City, and actually reside in the city, may not be restricted by household registration before obtaining national citizenship. Therefore, new immigrants who are not registered but meet the above identity, and meet the relevant standards regarding special circumstance assistance funds, income, and assets, may apply for special circumstance family assistance at the district office where they reside.
